Exam Preparation for Norskprøve 2 / Norskprøve 3 The tests Norskprøve 2 and Norskprøve 3 are examinations offered by Studieforbundet Folkeuniversitetet in the Norwegian language at the levels A2 and B1 of the Common European Framework. They each consist of a written and an oral part, which may take place on different days. There are three examinations per year. Participation costs about 1000 Norwegian kroner and is offered in at least one location in every Norwegian county (fylke). Having successfully passed Norskprøve 3 serves as the basis for the application for a permanent residence permit or Norwegian citizenship. It also serves as an official documentation of Norwegian language skills, for example for future employers. Norskprøve 2 / 3 - Exam content Besides three conversations about everyday topics, different tasks for reading comprehension, listening comprehension and written production have to be completed. Example tests can be ordered at Studieforbundet Folkeuniversitetet . In contrast to the so-called Bergenstest (which demands a higher language level) there is no pure grammar section, but the correct command of the Norwegian language will have an important influence on the assessment.
